*throws confetti*
Well, it was a fun ride, but now I’m DONE~ This blog has served it’s purpose, and hopefully served it well. I’m hope you could learn something from it. I had fun writing it, despite my lateness these past few weeks. BUT, oh well~
Marriage should be available for everyone, methinks. Hopefully I could help you form an opinion as well.
Phew~
Down with that! Ah…I really need a nap…I want to get over this flu soon, uuuugh…
But, besides updating my blogroll and breaking news, I have also commented on some other GV blogs, including my classmates Caitlyn Foley and Danni McPherron, as well as another GVer, Olivia Miller.
Now, nap time for me. =_=
Hey, look, look! A more serious video?
A view on gay marriage from a religious point of view!
What’s that thing that makes marriage important…oh yeah. LOVE.
Prop 8- The Musical
I really enjoy these kinds of videos, don’t I…?
But this video really does make a point, if you’re willing to find it under the sarcasm and hilariousness.
Really, it portrays my views on where religion stand in politics quite well…but religious debates are for another blog!
Uh…woah.
My poor, poor neglected blog… *pats baby* I’m sorry for forgetting about you. I need to add more sparklies this week to make up for forgetting, I guess! *rolls up sleeves*
*update update update*
I’ve added more links to the blog roll and some breaking news, so go check it out! *faints from tiredness*
Actual content? GASP!
Guess what guys? This blog has some actual content now! Check out the “Things to Ponder…” section for a background and analysis on gay marriage.
Also, for a continuous update of the state of gay marriage in the world, check out “Hot of the Press” for breaking news.
Okay, a forizzle post
My last post was just kinda christening this place, so a forrizzle post!
Gay marriage. What’s up with that?
…I’m sorry, I just have trouble writing stuff like this for serials. But, honestly, this is an issue that actually really resonates with me. I don’t see why the American government makes a big deal about gay marriage. If two people love each other, shouldn’t that be enough? We say we’re a nation that has freedom, and to me, freedom to fall in love with who you want to and marry who you want to shouldn’t be the government’s business.
Now, I’m not going to lie and say that I know all the technicalities to how marriage and the government works. But, all the rebuttles I have ever heard to gay marriages are arguments based in religion. How can you say that you separate church and state on an issue like this? Sure, marriage can be a religious thing, but it isn’t necessarily so. Atheists can get married. So can Buddhists and Muslims. So, why dictate who can get married on something that isn’t universal?
My whole point is to see how other countries around the world view gay marriage, as a comparison (and possible, and argument) against the way my own country views gay marriage.
Wish me (or don’t wish me) luck~
*crickets chirp*
Whelps, I guess I should christen this mama-jama, right? -breaks wine bottle over side of laptop-
Hmm…That probably wasn’t smart. …oh well.
My issue that I will be discussing in this blog is the universal view on gay marriage. …And since I have no idea what that is, I guess I should get cracking, right? TO THE INTERNET~
…Oh, wait…
